Our history

Established in 1986 by Professor Chris Mullard (Chairman/CEO) and Mike Madelaine Elmont (Executive Director, Corporate Resources), Focus Consultancy derives its vision and inspiration from the equality and organisational development work of its founders, both nationally and internationally.

In tandem with society’s own evolution, it has become increasingly clear since those early days to both public and private business sectors that the services and products offered by Focus are proof that equality of opportunity for all (irrespective of race, gender, class, disability or sexual orientation) is an approach that is ethically and socially responsible, as well as profitable. Focus’s pattern of growth has in consequence been both steady and sustained.

In the past eighteen years, we have worked with over 300 organisations, developing solutions in partnership with our clients. Today, reinforced by the understanding that diversity, equality and profitability are intrinsically connected, Focus Consultancy is the leading multi-ethnic and inter-disciplinary consultancy in Europe, continuing to develop new products and services that rise to the challenges of the 21st century.
